      Activity Descriptions:

Workshop This will be an exploration of physical tasks, improvisation, and collaboration. During this time creative choreographic proposals will be given—Experimental writing, and text may be investigated. All bodies are welcomed.

Roundtable: Closed IBPOC space ~ This will be an informal time to discuss anything with regards to artistic practice and performance. Questions for the choreographer about their trajectory into professional dance, about the real life challenges within dance and artistic practice, about working as a racialized artist—all interests and curiosities are welcomed. Our hope is that this will be a space where information can be gathered, networking can take place, and uplifting of individual and communal artistic practice can happen. Recognizing and naming the ongoing impacts of colonialism and its oppressive and racist legacies, this session is a closed space for IBPOC (Indigenous, Black, people of colour, including newcomers, immigrants, and/or otherwise racialized people) individuals. IBPOC artists from all disciplines are welcome to join in.

Roundtable: Open ~ This will be an informal time to discuss anything with regards to artistic practice and performance. Questions for the choreographer about their trajectory into professional dance, about the real life challenges within dance and artistic practice—all interests and curiosities are welcomed. Our hope is that this will be a space where information can be gathered, networking can take place, and uplifting of individual and communal artistic practice can happen.
