Solène Bernier

Solène Bernier is an emerging independent dance artist and a graduate of École de Danse Contemporaine de Montréal (2019). She has performed in work by Bradley Eng for Festival Quartiers Danses and worked as a collaborator in Cheline Lacroix’s dance film May the Best Loser Win. Currently based in Kjipuktuk/Halifax NS, she has worked with local choreographers including Liliona Quarmyne (Intersect) and Meredith Kalaman(The Sea of my Tomorrows). Solène has also participated in various choreographic and research-based workshops such as Nova Scotia Masterwork’s Future Masters Program, Mocean Dance’s CLEaR Forum, and the Creative Music Workshop in association with the Halifax Jazz Festival. She is excited to be working in her home city and to expand her artistic practice as she continues to collaborate with other artists in the area. Solène is also working towards a BSc in Therapeutic Recreation from Dalhousie University.
