A physically and emotionally charged work, Sable Island embodies the relentless sway of the fierce ocean encircling the famous isle and the mystery, isolation and untamed spirit of the wild horses that live there. Masterfully performed by a quintet of dancers, this powerful work features an original musical score by Montréal composer Bertrand Chénier, who transforms the theatre into a windswept island, ocean floor and rocky shoreline, with a poetic palette of piano, bass, and mandolin.

There is nothing to understand but everything to feel. Sable Island is a place, a metaphor and now a mentra to survive.
